Northborough Free Library - Fundraising

Northborough Free Library

Treasure the Past. Invest in the Future.

We are excited to see the progress in the construction phase of our renovation/expansion project as we see the new addition take shape. Amidst this excitement, though, comes the reality of planning for the newly renovated space.

As we specified at the outset of our fundraising campaign, after raising construction funds through town, state, and private sources, we now need to raise additional funds to furnish our new space, and to purchase needed equipment. Even though our old furniture is in storage, ready to be used if necessary, it is 33 years old, and it will not fill our new space. Also, we need to purchase new computers to address the needs of the community and to supplement the five-year old computers we now have.

We are asking that if you have not made a contribution to this campaign yet, you will do so now. If you have already given, we thank you, and ask that you renew your generous support with an additional donation. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated, and will be recognized. Donors of $5000 or more will have their names on a plaque, and many naming opportunities still exist for rooms or collection areas as well.

The Northborough Free Library is one of our area’s greatest assets, one of the few places in our community where people of all generations, cultures, and economic strata meet. We have come a long way toward creating a library of which we can all be proud. Please continue to support this project in any way you can.

Please contact Jean Langley, Library Director, with any questions, at 508-393-5025, x 9 or jlangley@town.northborough.ma.us.

Treasure the Past, Invest in the Future is more than a motto. More than 80% of Northborough residents use the library, and this expansion will help keep our town in the forefront of academic, social, and cultural offerings.
