Downloadable eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines from Overdrive can be found in the C/W MARS Catalog and in the C/W MARS Digital Catalog.  We can help you with downloading free eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines. Call the Adult Services desk at 508-393-5025 Ext 5 with your questions. Or, bring your library card,  eReader or other device to the library for assistance.


Libby

In order to download eAudiobooks, eBooks, and magazines from the library, you will need to install the Libby app on your device (smartphone, tablet, or desktop). Libby is designed to make borrowing and enjoying eContent from the library easy.  Get help downloading Libby.


Overdrive

To read eBooks and listen to eAudio on your Kindle, a different app from Overdrive may be required.  Get help downloading Overdrive.  Some older Kindles and other smart devices may require different apps and instructions.  Refer to the Overdrive Help Manual if you have questions about which app to use, or contact a librarian for assistance.


Streaming

Fine films at your fingertips! Kanopy is an on-demand streaming platform featuring a large collection of thoughtful and award winning films and documentaries for preschoolers through adults. This service is available to all Northborough library card holders on your favorite hand-held device, computer or smart TV.

Boston Public Library

The Boston Public Library is the "Library of the Commonwealth", so all Massachusetts residents are eligible for a free electronic library card at The Boston Public Library.

Why do you want a Boston Public Library eCard?  Your eCard can be used to get:

  • more and different Overdrive titles than available through C/WMARS, and additional eBook, eAudio and eVideo platforms including magazines through RB Digital and streaming video through Hoopla.
  • access to more and different databases, newspapers, and journals than available with your Northborough library card including JSTOR.

How do you get a Boston Public Library eCard?  Register for the BPL eCard here and your eCard number will be emailed to you.
