Doctor Taco McBeardface was born on March 19th, 2021. She is now fully grown and is about 22 inches long.
Some fun facts about Doc Tac (pronounced "tok"):
- Her species is native to the Australian desert, so Dr. Taco's 4' x 4' x 2' habitat is kept between 90 and 100 degrees F on the warm side, so she can bask to maintain her body temperature.
- Bearded dragons are omnivores! She eats a variety of bugs including crickets, dubia roaches, mealworms and superworms, but her FAVORITE are horn worms. She loves her salads and enjoys dandelion greens, bok choy, squash and cilantro the most, with fruit like raspberries and blueberries as a special treat.
- Bearded dragons are naturally very social, curious creatures. She loves to explore and enjoys watching the patrons of C'est La Vie (the cafe next door) on the window sill ledge in the children's department office!
